This past weekend at Emerald City Comic Con up in Seattle, we were totally caught off guard with the reaction our book received! It was a great weekend and we sold out mid day Saturday! The remainder of our limited print run will be arriving by the end of the month, but wanted to give those interested a chance to order beforehand. Each book comes with a sketch on the inside cover.
Some interior pages from both Liberty Justice, and Cosmic Scoundrels:
If you want to order yourself a couple, click on the link on the side! *Due to the unexpected high demand, copies are limited until later this month.
**If you are a retailer and want to carry our book, contact me or Tyler at email@example.com and will give you special retailer discount when ordering multiples.

The road to the final cover was sort of different, from start to finish. Sort of. Still the same general layout--only my pallet changed quite a bit. I wanted to highlight the end of the "THREADS OF TIME" storyline finale, thinking the golden hues showcased that--but ultimately didn't feel it lent itself to the gravitas of the Aku showdown in this issue, hence the much darker tone in the final version of the cover to #5.

I don't see many preview pages beyond the cover, so I thought by showing a few it might prompt you to go pick up Samurai Jack #4 tomorrow!
Issue 4 was one of my favorites, artistically--and the reviews continue to be extremely positive, here on the Examiner and the good folks over at IGN.

As we near this weeks release of Samurai Jack #4, I will keep teasing bits of the issues process. Below are some super rough sketches (the final versions of these character's typically come together in the layouts and cleanup phases).

I recently teased a sampling of art on a website created by myself, Homestar Runner's Matt Chapman and an incredible logo designed by Jeff Simms. It's called COSMICSCOUNDRELS.COM and my hope for the new year is that you go check it out--and do so as often as possible, as new art, story and other surprises will be added continuously. It's something that we've been working on in our spare-spare time for a few years now. It's the culmination of our collective love of 70s to mid 1980s sci-fi (that of our impressionable youth)--and our desire for a purely creative outlet. This format will also provide an all new way to tell a story, or stories, as it were.
Matt and I have contemplated crowd funding, or other attempts to make this more of a priority, but as of yet, we aren't asking for anything more than word-of mouth viewership and promotion.
Once again, the site is called COSMICSCOUNDRELS.COM
Check it out, click around and let us know what you think!
